   From the first call you make to schedule an inspection, or ask about our prices, to the last question you may have after the inspection report is given to you, It is You my client who is the most important person. It is our goal to do the best possible inspection for you, so you can be happy, in what is most likely the largest purchase you may ever make, your new home.
   The Home Detective is not concerned with the number of inspections that can be accomplished, rather with the quality of the inspections that are performed, we are equipped with a computer generated reporting system.. Reports are 35-45 pages long with pictures of major deficiencies included in the report.

    Joseph V. Petrozola, certified home inspector is the Owner / President / and sole inspector of The Home Detective Home Inspection Service. When you call, it is me you will be speaking to. I will be the only person both answering your questions, and doing the inspection. You will not be dealing with five different inspectors, as some other inspection companies out there.
   I started my schooling in 1994. I took a correspondence course from International Correspondence Schools (ICS), where my grades were in the 90's. In 1996, I earned a diploma from ICS. In 1996 I continued my education by attending The Home Inspection Institute of America (HIIA) in Wallingford, CT. It was there I completed an intense 6 day, 8 hour a day course (48 Hours). I earned a diploma from H.I.I.A., for my studies there. I continued to be certified through H.I.I.A. , and in November, 1996 I earned my certification.
   I have held my certification each and every year since 1996. In 2001, I have earned Senior Certified Inspector. One achieves this by being certified for at least 5 years.
Currently, I am a candidate for American Society of Home Inspectors ASHI. To be a member of ASHI, one must pass two - 8 hour exams. I am in the process of studying for these exams, which are also extremely intense. In 2005 I was certified by NACHI as a certified home inspector under there strict standards of practice. It is my policy never to do more then two inspections in any one day. In most cases, only one inspection is scheduled a day. Some companies try to do 3 inspections in any given day. How can that be when an inspection lasts at least 2 to 4 hours?
